Travel Blog sites?
I've never blogged before, but with this upcoming trip, I'd love to have a place where friends/family can follow our trip. Does any one know of any websites that provide such a service. Uploading the occasional photo and reporting on what we are doing is all I would be looking to accomplish.
Also, I love reading trip reports and think I'd like to hear about others' adventures in the locales we're headed to.
Advice?

As you probably know, many post their trip reports on this forum. Fodorites frequently post brief reports while traveling and comprehensive reports when they return. Unfortunately you cannot upload photos and your family/friends have to sift through everyone's replies in order to read your report.

One of the largest (and free) blog sites is
www.blogger.com
You can create your own blog and it's easy to post to it and upload photos.

I suspect you are looking for a travel blog that is specific to travel. Here is one:
http://www.travelblog.org/Bloggers/Deb-Brad/
(It's free)
or,

I would HIGHLY recommend TravlBlog.org (as CityTrekker has mentioned)
We'll be using it to blog our trip to Thailand and Cambodia when we leave in 2 days. I did a lot of research on this subject and can say it's free and by far the easiest to learn and use...not to mention the layout is easily the nicest. The site explains how to post entries VERY easily.
Blogger.com is good, but you need to be fairly tech savvy or the ramp-up time to learn its interface just isn't worth it in my opinion.
Hope that helps!

As always, thanks!
I toyed around last night and just came up with a geocities site that will do for now. I think rather than a really public blog, I want to do a site that our family/friends can follow us on. Being too accessible on the www scares me!
I also got stuck reading a lot of the blogs on travelblog. What a great site!
