Travel b/w cities Hong Kong, Cambodia, Hanoi

What is the best way to travel from Hong Kong to Phnom Penh or Siem Reap? And how much should it cost?

Also what is the best way to get to Hanoi from Phnom Penh or Siem Reap and how much should that cost as well?

A friend and I are trying to travel around on a budget so we're looking for cheap ways to get around.

Thanks!

The best way is by plane. I believe someone here mentioned that Dragon Air (a subsidiary of Cathay Pacific) now has flights between Hong Kong and Phnom Phen. Then you can take a bus between PP and Siem Reap. Flying in and out of Siem Reap is expensive, so it might even make sense for you to take a bus back to PP to fly to Hanoi (I think via HCMC).

Correct. Dragonair flies HKG-PNH (Phnom Penh) daily.

Meanwhile, SiemReap Airways fly HKG-REP Mon and Fri, and HKG-PNH-REP on Wed.

Or connect in Bangkok.

Thanks for your help. How much should these flights cost? I went to Dragon Air's website and it said it would be about US$475...is there any way to do it cheaper?

On Zuji.com, I see one-way fare on Singapore/SilkAir to PNH with a connection at SIN for about HK$2,500 (~$350).

I think you can get a cheaper rate from a travel agent in Hong Kong once you're there.
