transport from kl airport to hotel

Traveling with 2 kids under 3 and much luggage. Do you recommend train, taxi, or hotel shuttle? Does the airport offer luggage storage? I did not find anything on their website. Please advise.

Waheed,

Depending on the hotel you are staying, the hotel shuttle or hotel pvt car seems the best bet for all your baggages !!

I believe the KL Int'l airport has Counter Storage Services at
a) the Arrival Hall, Level 3,Main Terminal Building (Near to Hotels, Tours & Travel Agents Meeting Point and next to Medical Clinic)

b) Departure Hall, Level 5, Main Terminal Building (Next to the Post Office )

1. RM10.00 per day -Small (40cm x 32cm x 75cm)

2.RM20.00 per day- Medium (55cm x 43cm x 75cm)

3.RM30.00 per day - Large (135cm x 32cm x 43cm)

Chk it out on the KL airport web site or your travel agent.

Waheed,
Give the train a miss as you will still have to get a taxi at the KL end to get to your hotel. The monorail that goes around the city does not leave from the main station and would be a nightmare to get to with kids and baggage. Go with the advise of rickshawdriver.

For two adults, the train to town then a taxi to the hotel works beautifully (and you can buy a seamless package that gets you there including luggage handling). With two kids under 3, I absolutely agree, get a hotel car or ask at the taxi counter for a large car or van.

For our arrival in 3 weeks I found a convenient service which packages the train into the city and then a Mercedes transfer to the hotel. Good price for two of us and they would probably work out better than train and taxi. http://www.exkl.com/

NoFly, that's the service I used and it is excellent. They even have porters to help you on and off the train with your luggage.
