Hi live42day,
Just discovered this report after you mentioned it on another thread - vivid, enticing and very helpful for planning and editing our upcoming too-short shoulder season trip. Videos are terrific - love the Coldplay AND the Indian music...who is the artist? Wish we could meet for dinner in Varanasi.

Hi, live42day,
How did you allocate the number of days per stop? Did you have 2-day stays or more, and if so, what felt "right" to you?

Did the 4 days in Jaisalmer also include the overnight safari?

Thank you again,
Paule

Hi Paule and Crosscheck. we spent 2 nights in Udaipur,
2 in the Bisnoi Village,
three in Jaisalmer and then another on the safari, but dont forget we had two days at the desert fair. So yes three plus the safari for a total of four.
Jaipur was three nights,
Aurangubad 3 nites,
2 in Mumbai ,
three nights in varanasi,
one in Agra
and then two in Delhi.

This was all done with help with other foderites. I think all the times were just right for us. We could have done one less day in Aurangubad but dont think you are going there anyhow.

Our favorites were Varanasi and Jaisalmer. I am glad we did Varanasi near the end however as it was very intense with the festival going on. If we had arrived there first I may have flown home!

How long were you in Jodhpur? Was rhat a town you felt was worth more time or less?

I really do appreciate the help. Of course, now I want to include the Shekhawati region...... Sigh

we only spent one night and full day in Jodphur and then went to the Bishnoi village just ouside of Jodphur.
I know, it is hard to do it all, India is a huge country with so much to offer.

Thanks, live42day,
I've made my itinerary and am now comfortable with my choices; I'm finalizing the hotels and making reservations now.

It's hard to eliminate places when, as you say, there's so much to see.

Paule
