train Muroran to Sapporo
 

About how much is a round trip ticket by train from Muroran to Sapporo. We will be there for 1 day on a cruise, the ship charges $79 for Sapporo on your own, bus into the city. Thought we could do it faster & cheaper on our own. Also do the trains take credit cards or is there ATM or exchange place near the dock? Thanks

One way it would be 4880 yen for a 100 minute trip or 2420 for a 200 minute trip.

that's by JR train. You would also have to get from the boat to the train station.

Thanks, after adding the price, decided it was about the same to just take the ships'bus into Sapporo, at least I won't miss the train (& the ship) on the way back.

Yes I think taking the bus is better cos it just goes up on the expressway and goes stright through to sapporo...you'd spend a bit of money getting from the dock to the station.
Usually nice time of year to be in sapporo - enjoy!
