TPE Airport Hotel
 

Does anyone know of a hotel at or close to TPE. I have a flight out at 8AM on my return and wnat to find something close.

The CKS Hotel is right at the airport, but it's disgusting IMO. Since you should be at the check-in by 6:00-6:30, if you stay in town, it won't take long at all that early in the morning. I'd rather take the 30 minute ride from Taipei than stay there.

ok. I did check all the reviews for that hotel, and not a good word, any other hotels in Taoyuan to suggest

Don't know if this is even relevant anymore...but in case it is..

I second the notion of staying in a hotel in Taoyuan, but not all the way in Taipei. Traffic between Taipei and CKS can be very unpredictable, including early in the morning.

There is the Evergreen hotel in Taoyuan. Operated by the same company that flies EVA Air. I have stayed at one in southern Taiwan and it was perfectly fine.

I've stayed in many hotels/motels in Taoyuan. The best hotel in the city is the Monarch Plaza Hotel. Agree with others and would never stay at the CKS airport hotel again. The Monarch Plaza is where all the airline crews now stay. No.300 Chuang Ching Road, Sec. 1, Taoyuan. Tel. (03)316-9900. Fax (03) 317-9000. I just spent another 4 nights there last week. Free internet in rooms. Most rates include breakfast. 4 nights in a King Executive room with breakfast and a bunch of laundry was 18,777NT (with my customer's discount).
