Tour Guide in Tokyo? Help!!

My husband and I are only going to be in Tokyo for just shy of 2 full days. As such, I think it would be good if we got a tour of the city. We're very much fans of private guides, and we're wondering if anybody can recommend a good private guide to give us a decent overview of the city, see some of the major sites, and maybe take us to some not touristy spot for authentic japenese food. Any advice on this would be much appreciated.

Thanks!!!

One of our favorite meals was lunch with Junko....not to mention stopping to get green tea ice cream from a vendor.

Can you give me an idea of what Junko charges for a (1) day tour? Thank you.

I am so sorry that I do not recall at all but I do know that I thought it was very, very fair - actually a bargain. I should keep better track of these things. Also, it does fluctuate with the value of the dollar of course. We were there April 2007. If you email her, she will give you her price. The email I have is [email protected]. She gave us more than a decent overview, was very, very pleasant to spend time with (she lived in the US for several years).

Thanks so much! I will email her this week and see what she has to say.
