Tong's Team?
 

Hello,

I have decided to hire a tour guide for my day in BKK. Tong is not available, but she said she could recommend someone from her team. Anyhbody out there used someone from her team that you would recommend? I also contacted Tan and have not heard back from her. Any other recommendations for guides on Tong's level? Thanks, Donna

Actually Tong is not on Ratt's team, at least not for several months. She has her own business.

The two people I know of on her team are very good. In fact, I can't imagine Tong having anone on her team that wasn't. I think you are safe to go with whomever she recommends.

sorry.... I was under the impression she started working for Ratt. I know when I talked to Ratt last February that some workers she had were trying to use her business she sent them to start their own businesses and that was worrying her alot.

She could say whatever she wanted to say, and I am the one who didnt' use Tong through Ratt. My friends used her through rungnirand tour in bangkok and recommended her to me. Tong worked for that agent before Ratt knew her.. She worked as a freelancer and Ratt used her just sometimes she was fully booked..just that..Tong was not introduced to this website..and she worked for Ratt only a few months..
I think it's normal to change jobs or companies if you're not happy with the way boss treated you..
we have so many topics to talk about.. this is the only thing that Tong is badmouthed..

I have never met Tong so I don't have any negative remarks about her. She must be a good guide as alot of people on this forum have said kind things about her.

BTW it is very interesting reading all of your posts as kclaudia. Most of your posts are in support of Tong and others where you are giving specific advise as someone who is a guide in Thailand would.

Then there are other posts where you say you have used Tong as your guide on your first trip to bkk.....interesting.

I have been to Thailand many times because I have Thai friends there, but I never used guide..hawaii..normally I travelled with and treated by them..but my friend who was there for the first time..hired her. she later told me that there are some posts about her on here, but she can't remember the website correctly.
we're friends now..I just wanted to help her since I know her..i wish you knew her too.
I'm not a regular poster..but we can meet up if you want.

Hawaiian Traveller, I am not sure what your points are meant to be, but it would appear that if anyone was trying to 'plug someone or discredit another' it would be yourself... you appear to try put doubt regarding Tongs intentions and seem to 'believe all that Ratt has to say'. Interesting.

Bottom line as is true in most situations, the truth of what happened is probably somewhere in the middle. We are each only hearing one side of the story.

can someone refer to the original question ?
i am too booked with "someone from my team" as tong suggested to me, as she is booked for the days i'm in bangkok.
