Tong
tong sent me an e mail this AM telling me that her grandmother in hong kong has died....she will need to go to hong kong next week....she will arrange for alternatives for anyone who is scheduled to tour with her...
this makes 4 deaths in the last several months in her immediate family... we all send our love and condolences bob and karen |
That is just terrible for her.
We were emailing back and forth last night about our plans together for next Tuesday and Wednesday, but she must not have known yet. |
cheese--maybe she is still on for you....she did not tell me when next week she would be going
|
Yes, perhaps she is leaving after us. DH just checked at home, we do not have an email from her.
Poor lady. |
she did say to contact her, so i think i would do that again now
|
Actually, she sent a message shortly after I wrote the last post, and she has arranged an alternate guide - Nat.
I hope the city is not under lock down by next week - news not looking too good!! |
these government things have NO affect on tourists....don't worry
|
tong reports that she will have to make several trips back and forth to HK up into december, but will take care of people as best as she can and do what she can personally including next week
|
Anyone who sees or E-mails Tong please send our deepest sympathies for her. She was our guide last year in Thailand and a true professional-Most sincerely from Don & Chris

Posting from the World Club in Narita, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED WC, on our way to Bangkok. Tong plans to take us to the floating market and fishing village Wednesday, and may or may not be able to guide us on Tuesday. Even if she is in Bangkok, I think she might need some family time to help her deal with all of this.
Will pass along your message, BeniciaChris |
I also have been emailing with Tong and got her message. My trip is in April, so this is not an impact.
I send her my sympathy and good thoughts. |
