Tokyo in 3 days

Hello,

I am going to be in Toyko for work for 3 days and we will be staying near the imperial gardens. I am going to stay on after the boss heads home, for another 3 days. I would like to know what to see in order to maximize my time. I would also like to know where to stay, since I will be moving hotels after the work portion is finished. Somwhere near the imperial gardens would be nice, however I am not to fussy. I will be arriving and departing via the Nitta Airport. Thanks

What is your budget, when are you going, and what interests you?

Hmmm there's the Palace Hotel which is just in front of the Imperial Palace (gardens). It's located in Marunouchi. A bit old. The area is a bit quiet a night. It's a short 10 minute walk to Tokyo station though where there's lots of eating places and shops are the basement level. About the same time to MaruBiru building where there's lots of eating places as well. The limousince bus has a stop at the Palace Hotel so transfer to and from Narita is a breeze. Costs JPY3,000 each way. Dont know about the price though.

Go to some of the extraordinary stores!

Tokyo Hands and Loft in Shibuya
Kiddyland in Harajuku

You will see things to buy that you would never find anywhere else in the world!

We stayed at the Palace last year. Very reasonably priced. The rooms have been renovated and are typical western style hotel rooms. Across the street from the Imperial Gardens but no restaurants close by. Around the corner from a subway stop so loaction is really not an issue.

From the Palace hotel can go to Marubiru building there's lots of restaurants. Ask the hotel staff for direction, it's easy to walk there. Another place is at Tokyo Station, there's even more eating places at the basement level. It's about 10 minute walk away.
