Tokyo - Do you know the Monterey Hotels?

I'm trying to decide which hotel to stay at for a brief 2 night stay on my own in Tokyo in July & while searching the net came across the Hotel Monterey La Soeur
and Hotel Monterey Ginza. Both are boutique style & seem to offer terrific value for 4 star hotels, particularly in Ginza. Is anyone familiar with either of them?

I know these hotels.
Unfortunately I have never stayed at these hotels because I live in Tokyo, but my friends frequently stayed there.
These two hotels stands next to each other, and very convenient location.
You can walk to several train and subway stations in a few min., and Ginza St. is just a few meters behind.

Rooms may not large and not gorgeous, but opend recently (just a few years ago), and very reasonable priced hotel.

I forgot to tell you that staffs of these hotels may not be good at English. So if you need much help from them and you can't speak Japanese, you should avoid choosing them.

Thanks for your helpful reply yathy. I don't think it should be a big problem if no-one there speaks English - I speak a little Japanese, hopefully enough to get by.

Lucy_of_Oz-san,

I am happy to read your post.

If you need English assistance without fail, information personnels of dept. stores( Matsu-ya and Mitsu-koshi ) near these hotels or policeman in the Ko-ban at the Ginza 4-chome crossing would help you. Or mail me. ;-)
