Tokyo airports

Hello, quick question. I am trying to book FF miles through AA to Hong Kong in November. The only flight they have on the date I want going there is from DFW to NRT. Then I have to get to the HND airport in Tokyo to connect to HKG. How difficult would this be? Do they have airport shuttles that link, or would I be on my own? Thanks!

There is a limousine bus from Narita to Haneda. There's a bus roughly every 15 minutes in the afternoons when most flights from North America arrive at NRT. The fare is about $30, and it takes about 90 minutes.

Theoretically, you could take the train and subway, but it probably wouldn't save any time and it would definitely not be recommended if you have luggage and/or are unfamiliar with the Tokyo transit system.

Only HND-HKG flight is on ANA (NH), which is not a partner with AA. Are you sure about your itinerary?

Oh, my apology. JL will also start its own later this year.

I do hope you're not coming back the same way. A very short red-eye from HKG to HND, then many hours before the flight departs from NRT back to the US.

Thanks for the advice. I really appreciate it. The flight back has a direct connection in Narita to LA. I guess switching airports at Tokyo doesn't sound too bad. But to be honest, I was really hoping to get a seat on Cathay, not JAL. I'm going to keep trying AA in the hopes that someone else can find me a better flight... I know, it's a pipe dream! Thanks
