To Gpanda re: Penalty

Getting ready to post a trip report eight weeks after returning.

1) Can I get a penalty waiver?
2) Is there an additional penalty if I say something negative about Bangkok?

finally! someone besides me is gonna get nailed!

: )

Bad news. No advance waivers. You have already gone way past any possible extended time period. While waivers are freely granted, circumstances must be appropriate.

Good news. Penalties are calculated based on local Asian currenies.

Good news. The negative content of a report (no matter how late) does not increase the penalty.

Lori, do I sense a note of Schauderfreude (sp?)?

Gpanda,
Debating whether to wait for the next devaluation. Can't we adopt the rules of the Latin American board? There you are given a full year to post your report.

Lori,
No need for schadenfreude. You are my hero! Not only did you pave the path for our incredible school visit, but you are now uniting Tong and Ponheary - You will be able to post the first Fodors Asian All-Stars Trip Report.

Can I email you my report in advance? Not sure of the spelling of Souvarnabhumi.

Sure. I charge only 39 cents per correction.

BTW, Souvarnabhumi is correct. No charge.

You can check your own spelling easily by downloading at http://www.answers.com/ ((*))

The Latin America forum is much more forgiving than we. The theory is simple. Travelers post or lurk extensively before they go on their trips. They follow or ignore the advice/suggestions provided on this forum. A timely report containing the highlights/lowlights and likes and dislikes seems a small price to pay for the "information" provided. The timing stems from the fact that the "misinformation" on this forum was available when "needed" by the traveler.

Lori is a prime example of the reality that good works cannot obviate the need for a penalty. Schadenfreude ( I can't believe I even got close to the correct spelling) is the rare benefit to a penaltalizee.
