The New Fodors Guide is Out!
I was just at the book store and I took a peak at the new Fodors Guide. it has info about the tsunami damaged areas that will definitely do more harm than good for Thailand, unfortunately.
I sure hope that people are not discouraged about traveling to Thailand because of the damage.
I think it is up to those that have gone and are going to educate people that just a small portion of Thailand was heavily affected by the Tsunami and that even Phuket has beaches that are still gorgeous and worth visiting!
Cheers!

I got it from Amazon today. It was the least I could do to support the sponsor of this amazing website. The book also includes side trips to Cambodia and Laos - perfect for our upcoming trip to Siem Reap and Luang Prabang. It is not totally up-to-date on hotels but does recommend BED SUPPER CLUB both for dinner and for nightlife.

We will be going for 3 weeks in Feb. Maybe our paths will cross!
We are really considering visiting Luang Prabang on this trip but I have been discouraged by other posters to do so. Most people say I should just concentrate on Thailand and Siem Reap.
Cheers!
