Thaksin found guilty; sentenced to 2 years in hoosegow

The Thai Supreme Court today found Thaksin Shinawatra guilty of corruption, and it sentenced him to 2 years in prison. Thaksin, of course, hauled himself off to England a while ago, so he's not about to start eating his meals off a tin tray just yet.

Apart from having applied for political asylum in the UK he has been offered citizenship in the Bahamas. Yes mon, Thaksin is Bahamian!

Thaksin will not spend one day in any prison anywhere.

Don't be surprised if he becomes P.M. again.

All of my Thai friends here would love to see him spend some time in The Big Tiger! But, they all know he never will. Its always fun to go to the businesses they own and watch Thai tv in the back room, and watch them yell at the news people.

I like the idea of sending gpanda to serve him. Given Thaksin's time enjoying English hospitality, in order to make him feel at home, maybe Andy should get an English butler's uniform. How fetching he would look in stripey pants and a tailcoat!!

Jeeves has nothing on me. I'd be able to help Thaskin with all those sticky problems, e.g., convictions, corruptions, pushy Aunts and the like. Is his first name Bertrand?
