Thailand neighborhoods
I have a couple of questions. My daughter and her husband are moving to Thailand. His company is relocating them to a suburban neighborhood. The name of the neighborhood is Ni-cha-ta (spelled like it sounds). Has anyone heard of this area and if so where is it located?
When is the cheapest time to fly to Bangkok? Also, any suggestions are where to book flights for best rates would be helpful. Thanks.

Nichada Thani is in Nonthaburi, just north of Bangkok. It is a quite large lovely gated community with a lake at its center. The International School of Bangkok is located there. There is a Starbucks (of course), a small Villa supermarket which carries a wide variety of Western food items, a travel agency, restaurants, spa, pool, driving range, etc. In other words, everything your daughter could want is just a short walk or drive away. The community is filled with ex-pats and there are numerous social activities to keep the wives and children busy and involved. Just outside the gates is a typical Thai neighborhood with local shops, vendors and food stalls. It's really the best of both worlds -- the familiar and the exotic.

To add to Judy's comment - it's also very close to the Impact convention centre where most of the concerts, tennis tournament and, quite often, there will be huge trade show where they will sell to the general public as well. Also, with 2 nearby expressways commuting will be easy.
