Thailand - is this too ambitious of an itinerary?

Hello! My husband and I leave for Thailand tomorrow night and we are re-thinking our itinerary. This is what we have booked:

Bangkok Sep 3-6
Koh Samui Sep 6-9
Phuket Sep 9-12
Bangkok sep 13
Hong Kong Sep 13-17

Is this way too much traveling in this amount of time? Please help - we only have one day to cancel our airfare and hotels!

Thank you!!

Personally, I would spend more time in Bangkok, cut out one of the beach destinations and maybe add a couple of days on to the other beach destination.

I am sure that many of regulars on this forum will also suggest more time in Bangkok. It is a great city!

Cheers!

I suggest that you cut out Phuket. The weather will not be very good in September. Also, by cutting Phuket, you will give yourself more time to enjoy the three other locations. Remember, each switch in location takes up at least 1/2 day.

Yes, it is too much moving around. You probably don't really want to be on Phuket at that time - monsoons. SO if you cut Phuket, add days to Bangkok and Samui.
