hanuman, lol.

bob, i've survived a nite out with brad, but it took me two days to recover, or was it three?

Mango7 Mar 14th, 2009 06:38 AM

Kuranosuke- Did you wake up next to him the next morning in the 2-spoons together configuration?

BradinBangkok Mar 14th, 2009 12:14 PM

I seem to remember waking up that way, but it was 3 spoons, and no Ken.

... many thanks for the post/links gary, and welcome to fodor's! ... (A rather sweet family friendly forum.) ...

... must confess, a couple of your links brought back fine memories of posting joyously away, happy as could be, a single guy, travelling to Thailand for work (and occasional pleasure). ...

... (A bit different scene these days, properly married and all, and, well, 'banned' from certain aforementioned forums - must obey the mrs.) ... (but I still slip in the occasional heartfelt, helpful post) ...

... have fun in Pattaya ... (back in the early mists of time, yours truly once experienced no 'jf' and rather uplifting times at a certain Royal Cliff) ... (vaguely recall overhearing the occasional Russian) ...

... savour your tender Thai times - in the Land of Smiles ... (and do remember those Girls) ...

You are most welcome, Gary; pleasure

Sadly, this site doesn't have a 'PM' capability, along the lines of several of your links. (As well as the sensational SQTalk, should you be flying Singapore Airlines, and those glorious Girls; they could be a good source of information for you - and inspiration. ... the site does show a few Girls in full-on sarong kebaya attire - not such a bad sight. ... (Personal reasons, to be sure.)

Hope this helps and please do return with additional enquiries before your Thai holiday. ... (And do consider making a most detailed trip report -- could very well be the most uplifting ever submitted on this board) ...

enjoy,

robert

What is your budget for a room per night?

I would think you are spending too much time in Bkk - you might want to look for a third destination or tip the balance to Pattaya. You'll find hotels in Pattaya in the 1000 to 2000 baht bracket re ten-a-penny.

It might also be a choice to go to Pattaya first - taxi from the Airport as it's on the Pattaya side of Bkk. 1.5 to 2 hours and should cost 1300 baht. Agree the price before you set off.
then you can get ito Bkk having acclimatised a bit to the country and will get some good advice on where to go/stay - all bookable from Pattaya.

Those posters who are knocking Pattaya have no idea what they are talking about. Pattaya is an excellent resort, even for families. Hotels are cheap, as is the food.

the "Pattaya delenda est" brigade - their postings say more about themselves than Pattaya.
