Thailand in FEB
Looking to travel to Thailand in Feb or March. Is there a better time to go? Would like to visit both Beaches and Mountains, with 2 days in Bangkok. How many days should we allow? (2 Weeks?)
Thanks in advance!

Feb or March is a nice time to come. Two weeks ought to be fine, especially if you have the money to fly from BKK to the islands, and then from the islands up to the north for some trekking.

February should be a good time, because it should be in late winter, although the temperature can be well above 25C in the daytime, but in the north, northeast it can be cool in the night and early morning.
Can help you more, if you let me know what type of attractions you are looking for?

hope you enjoy the land of smile.

Hello Tim, The cool season ends the end of the first week in March. The hot season begins. Anytime in Feb or Mar is great. 2 days in BKK is hardly enough if you haven't ever been to Thailand. 4 to 5 minimum. Beaches are great but your flying 20 hours to go to a beach - better closer to home. Now the mountains in Thailand are great. I'd recommend 3 or 4 nights in Ko Samui, along with 5 in BKK, the remainder in the highlands.

February is better than March - cooler. By the end of the first week of March the HOT season starts. Two days in Bangkok is hardly enough IF you have not been there before - rather 4.
Have a great trip.

We went to Thailand last Feb. and the weather was great. It was starting to get very warm before we left the first week in March. There is a great beach in Hua Hin and I would reccommend the Dolphin Inn located near the Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park. www.explorethailand.com
