Thailand Flights-Bangkok to Phuket
Need to book a one way flight BKK to Phuket in Nov, (6 wks or so). Any airline suggestions, etc?
|
I like Nok Air and they fly out of the old Bangkok airport, Don Muaeng. Other airlines that fly to Phuket from DMK (Don Muaeng) are Air Asia, Thai Smile, Orient Thai and they all sell one way ticket at no surcharge.
If you want or need to fly from the main airport then there are Thai Airways and Bangkok Airways. |
I also like Nok Air. We will fly them again this December Bangkok to Phuket. We did it last year, for the new year, and were satisfied with Nok.
|
Nok does fly from DMK (Don Muang) airport, Bangkok. Not a pronlem. It's actually nice to go back to the old airport that we used for years when flying USA to Thailand.
|
I too liked going via DMK airport, very easy to navigate and a (slightly) quicker trip into town. use the airline with the thing that is most important to you I:E price/Schedule etc as they are all fairly similar (excpet the Main carriers of course)

Thanks for the suggestions everyone.
LancasterLad, what do you mean " Choose our final Phuket destination carefully. Depending on that, a knowledge of spoken Russian might be helpful, as would a healthily loaded wallet." |
Sweetness, ignore LL he is the resident troll, I had a lovely time in Phuket but as anywhere research and know the area you want to visit.
|
Did that on Thai airways business. I'd vote for them.
|
I don't mind being ignored, it's not my problem, or me that needs to be careful.
The facts remain that Phuket is more expensive for tourists than other resorts in Thailand, and that there are more Russian [marmite] bods there than anywhere else in Thailand. |
