Thailand-Bangkok and Koh Chang
I am planning a trip to Thailand for the 4th time and we are looking for a hotel in Bangkok around 100$ a night that is kid friendly and had good access to the sky train. Any favorites? We are also looking at Koh Chang and wanted to know what peoples experiences where with the island and any hotel reccommendations. Remember kid friendly!!

In Bangkok, it sounds the the Centerpoint Silon, serviced apartments near Taksim (end of skytrain and the dock for water taxis) would be good for you. However, they have just clsoed for renovations. So it depends on when your trip is.
Koh Chang is quiet. Do remember it is a malarial risk area.

Hi
I have stayed at the Amari in Koh Chang. Its a lovely hotel which is definitely child friendly. The rest of the island isn't particularly developed compared to say Samui or Phuket(or should I say over developed!). If you have any other specific questions about Koh Chang please ask!

koh cahng is a very laid back place....we stayed at the barali and were very happy there except for their food....we went next door to the tropicana for most meals...
the amari emerald cove is fantastic and quite new....excellent beach, pool, facilities and restaurants...expensive however
there are very basic facilities/hotels there also...
chang is not well developed...
getting there is somewhat difficult as there is no airport but transportation from the airport takes about 1.5 hours and involves a ferry ride...bkk air is the only airline which flies to the nearby trat airport... worth the experience....have your hotel arrange your transportation in advance...
