@yestravel

At his time, we have Ambassador Kenney telling us to "Keep safe", while Secretary of State Kerry tries to piss everyone off!

We will be in BKK in November for 5 days (8th thru 12th). Any Fodorites planning on being there at that time?

Who here would cancel holidays to China due to long-standing, repressive and authoritarian regime yet are scared of the temporary T'land situation? Now in china we can frequently find armed youthful police hanging around the train station. There are no rights of the people in china, nor any discussion of this truth. But folks here do not seem to realize that our holidays in china offer support to the ccp, the source of all the headache.

Not going to get into politics.

But, unlike China, the situation, as of now, in Thailand, is a bit fluid. Although one can usually, easily, avoid the Bangkok protests, there is still more concern for "safety".

Everyone's comfort zone is different.
