Thai reading

Teenage niece and I watched Brokedown Palace to get some in site on our coming trip - entertaining buttt not all that informative. We also watched many travel shows such as Globe Trekker. Other than guide books I would really appreciate some suggestions on some good fiction. I read and loved Fieldwork: A Novel by Berlinski, Mischaread. Any others?

Thanks!

John Brdett's three mystery novels are amusing, Bagkok 8, Bangkok Tattoo and Bangkok Haunt.

We answered this question recently...a week or so ago. Do a search, in the search box, and the list will pop up. Happy Travels!

Gpanda...We answered at the same time! I'm in the Apple Store trying out the computers as I don't own one. Anyhow as for the Burdett books the two must-read books are Bangkok 8 and Bangkok Haunts although it would be good to read all three as they are linked. But these aren't books for teenagers. It's very adult material. Happy Travels!

I enjoyed 'The Dream of a Thousand Lives: A Sojourn in Thailand' by Karen Connelly. Your niece might also enjoy it.

Femi, I went straight to Amazon and the book is now ordered. Thanks, it sounds really good.
