Tet 2003?

Does anyone know the date of Tet in 2003? We are headed to Vietnam on the 19th of January for 10 days and are wondering if we will be there for it. We will likely have hotel reservations ahead of time, but were hoping to book internal Vietnam flights in Hanoi. Will this be a problem? Thanks!

Hi there, I posted this question recently - this was the response:

Message:
Generally, all the action happens before Tet. So if you want the experience you need to be in VN a few days before Jan 1st (Lunar calendar-i dont know the actual date for western calendar). The highlight of Tet is the flower market...there should be one in every city....especially fun at night.
Traditionally, everyone closes their shop for atleast three days to visit or entertain family members. It is not the
case anymore (economic reason), although you might find that the streets are less crowded on new yr day.Sorry, i dont have a hotel recommendation. but you should not have a problem finding one because of Tet. Most of the people goes to VN for Tet stay with relative.
