Teen attacked at Tiger Temple
Awful way to start a vacation:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...ttraction.html And a warning from back in 2008: http://www.travelfish.org/board/post...n-kanchanaburi |
There have been many warnings about the Tiger Temple over the years (for a number of reasons). I hope this one will discourage people from promoting the Tiger Temple here.
|
There are also numerous tiger petting zoos around the country as well which are attracting a lot of tourists. All the major tourist destinations like Phuket, Chiang Mai, Pattaya etc have them and the same warnings should be extended to these places as well.

I could not finish seeing even one of the videos posted on the article above. It made me sick to watch. So sad...

I love tigers. To me they are the most beautuful animal in the world and would love to get get a chance to pet one but because of this above I never would try even given the chance. They are wild animals and you never know when one will snap and act like a tiger. I would like a chance to feed a cub but thats it. No big cats for me.

an accident just waiting to happen - there have been numerous warnings about this place. The illegal breeding program has swollen their numbers to over 100 as they continue to breed cubs to attract an unsuspecting public.

Here's the SBS documentary on the place. Reports a previous incident - or incidents....
