Teach English in Japan

I am considering applying for a teach english in japan position. In your opinion, what program is the best? I have heard good things about JET and Nova.

I've heard good things about JET. Nova is sort of the McDonalds of the language schools.

The answer to your question is AEON. At JET you will be teaching 12 year old boys and girls--not exactly the best way to meet friends. At Nova your fellow teachers will be at best high-school graduates who maybe aren't even native english speakers. NOVA takes advantage of their #1 market share. AEON, and to a lesser extent GEOS, give good pay, vacation, 5-day work weeks, overtime, and give a great chance to meet/go out with students casually. You can interview in the US and be there within 6 months or so.
Good luck.

i have a friend who just finished the JET program...he didn't enjoy it much maybe for the reason that someone alluded to earlier about not meeting enough people his own age...but he did love japan and thought it was beautiful!
