Taxi from Krabi Airport to Ao Nang
Anyone know the approximate cost of a taxi from the Krabi Airport to Ao Nang. Our hotel offers a 600bht transfer service one way.. Just wondering if getting a taxi on our own would be less? Thanks!

I was going to say B 600 even before reading your post in detail.
So yes, B 600 from your hotel is reasonable and you don't have to deal with taxis, if you book they will have their hotel sign up for you ( maybe with your name or perhaps just their hotel name ).
