Tanjong Jara Resort
 

Anyone know the best way to get to Tanjong Jara Resort (in Malaysia) from Bangkok or Koh Samui? I heard it is very near the Malaysia and Thailand border. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated

I have no knowledge of that resort but to get down to that area of Malaysia:

From Bangkok you would fly to KL and change for a flight to Kuala Terengganu. That is easiest.

From Koh Samui not so easy, you could fly to Phuket with Bangkok Airways, see if you can get a reasonable connection to KL from Phuket and then connect flight to Kuala Terengganu.

A budget way from Koh Samui would be to get a ferry to mainland, bus or train from Surat Thani on the mainland to Hat Yai and then connect by road across the Thai/Malaysia border and onwards by bus through Kuala Terengganu towards Kuantan.

Not so easy to get to.

My husband and I stayed at the Tanjong Jara for 6 nights in August, after spending a week and a half in Sabah, Borneo. It is on the East Coast of peninsula Malaysia. If you would like me to answer any questions, feel free to ask.

We flew Bangkok-KL-Langkawi. We stayed at Tanjong Jara. IS a gorgeous resort. Definitely take the convertible for rent for a hoy ride.
