Taking a poll-where to add another night
I plan to add one more day to my itinerary and not sure where...open to suggestions..staying in Oberoi bubble!!! Traveling with family so want it to be as restful as possible..leading toward ranthambore???
3 n Delhi 2 nights agra 2 nights jaipur 2 nights ranthambore 3 nights udaipur 3 nights mumbai where would you add extra night.??? |
I'd do Udaipur. Then you'd at least have 4 nights in one place. Actually, if it were me (and it isn't), I'd cut out a night from Mumbai and add 1 to Jaipur as well. I see no point to adding an additional day to Ranthambore - you already have 3 or probably 4 game drives - they are long - almost 5 hours each. You could just hang out and do nothing there I suppose but I'd rather hang out on the lake at Udaipur...

What Craig said.

I'd put the extra day in Agra simply because of the number of sights to see. You really need the extra time. If you rather have a restful extra day, I'd also vote for Udaipur.

I would vote for Jaipur. I would never spend 3 nights in Agra-just not enough to do (been there twice) and three nights is long enough in Udaipur. We returned in late November- DH's 15th trip and my third. Jaipur is great for shopping, especially for gemstones.

thanks so much
wondering if you might recommend reputable places in jaipur for gems..I know you have to be careful!! |
I'd do the extra night in either Delhi or Udaipur. Delhi because there is a lot to see in the city (and you might want a day to relax from your flights) or in Udaipur because the Oberoi itself is such a nice place to relax. I think my daughter and I spent about 5 nights there.
They have yoga classes, cooking classes, a lovely ool, and there are several things to do there besides wandering Udaipur. Horseback riding, the summer palace at suset, Ranakpur, or here are more ideas: more info http://goindia.about.com/od/updaipur...-day-trips.htm |
