Suvarnabhumi to Hua Hin
My flight arrives at 3.45pm and I want to go straight to Hua Hin the same evening. I know the easiest way would be to pre order a limo but at 3500 thb I think that is a bit expensive. I'm sure there are a number of different options so all suggestions would be helpful. I'm thinking maybe bus changing at the Southern Bus Terminal might be OK. Does the new train from the airport stop anywhere near the Bus Terminal? A train followed by bus might be a good balance between speed and cost.
All thoughts and ideas would be helpful.

a taxi would cost less but its a crap shoot as to what you would get for a driver...
have you looked at AAC limos prices?
i believe the new skytrain line passes the eastern bus terminal... and buses are very frequent to HH and dirt cheap

Mr. Roong (Roongsayam Yoosabay) will do it round trip for 4,000 Baht. I've used him for the last 3 years without a problem. He (or one of his drivers) will be waiting for you at the airport with your name on a banner. If you have a Thai mobile you can just call him when you land.

The airport link will dump you in Makassan, near a subway station but nowhere near the southern bus terminal. You could take the subway to Hualumpong and then the train from there to Hua Hin. Of course, this only works if you're traveling with a carry-on.
As it happens, the taxi I got home from the city terminal a couple days ago (a nice Toyota Innova - very comfy) offered trips to Hua Hin, etc. His price was 2,500 Baht. You can contact "Tom" at [email protected]. He claims to speak English, although our conversation was all in Thai.
