Summer in SE Asia? Am I crazy?
 

OK, I'm sure you are all going to be sick of me by now because I have so many questions. But you've all been so kind I'm going to try my luck with one more! I'm planning our trip to Bangkok, Golden Triangle, Angkor Wat, Vietnam and Bali, and had finally made the decision to go in October 2006. Well, my husband is now planning to go back to school in, yes, fall 2006. (And I can't very well go with out him since this is supposed to be our 5th anniversary trip!)

Which months April-August would be the best for travel to the countries mentioned above? (I'm going to try to do this in 30 days.) I know summer is OK for Bali, but what about the other countries? (Any other tips are always appreciated.) Thank you all for your patience!

Can't comment on Bali, but August is the WET season in the others.

we just went to bali, thailand (bkk, koh samui and golden triangle) from may 23-june 20 and the weather was perfect...the later you go to thailand the less reliable the weather with late august being the worst...bali is great all summer (us summer)...we did not even think the temps were that bad...we usually go in nov/dec....

Thank you! In rereading my post, I realized that I said our trip would be 2006. Mental breakdown. We're hoping to go May 2005!

April and May are sorching hot in Thailand...I don't know about the other months except that there's rain in August. Check one of the internet weather sites. There was one mentioned in this forum, but I can't remember which site it was although I used it. Happy travels!
