Suan Lum - Still Open? Chatuchak - open on Friday?
 

Hi Guys!

Last question before we embark on the plane to Bangkok tomorrow.

Suan Lum -- Is it still open for business, amid all the talk of it shutting down?

Chatuchak -- Is it open on Friday? We are leaving Saturday early am!!

Yes Suan Lum is still open but not what it once was. Please be aware that the tenants have not paid rent in over 2 years to the owner of the land and they are being evicted through the Thai court.

The main weekend market,"JJ market" as it's known by most Thai, is not open on Friday.

A few stall in Chatuchak do open on Friday, but not enough to make it worth going, IMO.

So, our choice of a 'night' market is now only Patpong Night market, then?

I understand JJ Market opens on friday for the wholesalers only?
As we have to leave friday pm, is it that bad that we can't appreciate it?
(70% stalls closed?)
