Sri Lanka Wildlife - Leopards
Hi
I posted an updated web gallery of some Wildlife and Nature photos from Sri Lanka, mainly from Yala NP. The leopard sightings have been fabulous in recent months. Do have a look.. http://www.abidally.com/mp/Yala Hope you like them Regards Mohammed |
Gorgeous photos! Thanks for posting them. Sri Lanka has always been a place I've wanted to see and we didn't have time to visit both India and SL on our last trip to the area.

Mohammed, Thanks for the fabulous photos!
We won't be able to go to Yala in November, but we know our first trip to Sri Lanka won't be our last! |
Mohammed, thanks for posting - we will be visiting Yala next February and hope to be as lucky as you with the leopard sightings.

Hi Craig,
February is a great time to visit. The weather is really good and it is the peak birdwatching season as well due to the cold northern winter all the migrant birds are down here. Peacocks also in full feathers dancing for a mate at this time. When you finalise your dates do try to avoid a week end period Fri/Sat in Yala. Regards Mohammed |
Fantastic shots Mohammed!
Over what time frame were these shots taken? Thanks for directing me to Mohammed Lynn! |

Hi - seems an old thread of mine just got ativated again.
Femi, these are all quite old shots taken in 2007 before the the troubles broke out in Yala and the height of the war. The leopards shots were over two trips, one amazing trip in Feb 2007 when I had 8 sightings over 2 days and another in July 2007. Good news is the Yala park is open again and I have been visiting quite a bit recently and sightings have been good. Do have a look at my Flickr gallery wher I have been postig recent pics http://www.flickr.com/photos/31829627@N02/ |
Thanks, I'll be looking for more postings from Yala. Did you see my questions about comparing Yala to South Africa?
