Sri Lanka Cultural Triangle - B&B or half board? - Advice please

Hello All,

Our resort in Sigiriya, Wild Grass Nature Resort is offering us a choice of bed and breakfast or half board. Normally we like to venture out and try the local foods in a different restaurant every night. However, I wondered if there's much choice in the area and if we shouldn't just take the half board option. We will have a car and driver so transport isn't a problem. For those who's been to this area, could you please give me some advice? Many thanks!

Virtually no outside choices in the area when we were there.

Agree - go for Half Board and try the local area at lunchtime. You will probably be exhausted from all the sight seeing in the CT - we were... :)
(although obvioulsy does depend on where your hotel is located. Have you google earthed it?

Another vote for the half board. For one of your meals, you may want to check out the Kandalama hotel, especially if you like curries.

Thanks for all of your help. I've gone for half board.
