Anyone have experience with this Bangkok-based Bicycle tour company?

Do a search, it's been reviewed here.

Thanks. I was wondering more about their long trips, rather than their 1-day tours. We're thinking about doing their Bangkok-Angkor trip next February.

I am also thinking of the bangkok- Angkor tour in February. I have found alot of info on their one day tours but no reviews of the longer tours. Any info would be helpful.

mo261, I still haven't found any reviews of their longer trips, just the 1-day tours. Anyway my partner and I have booked the Bangkok-Angkor February trip. Just going on instinct and by the positive phone conversations I've had with their reps. Every encounter I've had with Spiceroads leads me to believe everything is well-planned and will go smoothly. I could be wrong... but at least I'll get a trip to Bangkok and Cambodia out of it!

Hi - My husband and I just did Spiceroad's Central Thailand bike tour at the end of August. It was a 4 day, 3 night tour starting at the floating market near Bangkok, through Kanchanaburi (the town and rural parts of the province), and ending up in Ayutthaya. Our guide and driver were excellent and the whole thing was very professionally run - we always felt like our safety was a top priority. It was also great for us because it was our first time in Thailand and Spiceroads has a huge emphasis on eating local food during the trip (everything from roadside vendors to local restaurants and markets), so we got to try a lot of things we'd never had before in a very short period of time, most of which were delicious.

Anyway, in case you couldn't tell, I would recommend Spiceroads and their longer tours highly. Afterwards we really felt like we'd seen a lot of things by being on bicycles that we wouldn't have been able to see or notice otherwise - it's a very different experience than being in a car or bus and you take in a lot more when you're moving more slowly and can stop whenever you want to look closer. I would think the trip to Angkor would be amazing.

Thanks manders440, now I'm really excited! The food element sounds fantastic! We've done lots of bike trips in the US and Europe, but it will be our first time in Asia so it sounds like we'll be exposed to lots of great things. So glad to hear feedback from someone who has used Spiceroads. They're running a promotion now so we just found out we get a 10% discount! Icing on the cake!
