Sleepless in Singapore

I arrive from the US after midnite in Singapore Jan 22. I get on a cruise the same day in the afternoon and will have one day in Singapore. I hate to spend money on a hotel for a few hours sleep. My flight arrives on Japan Air Terminal 1. I have American Expree platinum card and an advantage card and am traveling on first class miles. Does anyone know if there is a travel lounge at that terminal that I can use to kick back till daylight?

Changi is a great airport, designed for the transit traveler. I saw a couple of transit lounges, even for those who don't have a premier lounge membership on their airline. Place are open late, too... I came in at 11:45, and was able to get a couple of Tiger beers at a sports bar. There are transit hotels in each terminal too, which have basic, but perfectly fine rooms (bed, TV and private bathroom with shower) on the cheap (for Singapore, anyway). Don't know if you can do this, since you're not really a transit passenger. But check it out.

The web site will give you the info you need: www.changiairport.com

I doubt that any of the airline lounges will allow you to sat there for the rest of the night... my memory is that they are all close after midnight or 1 am. I'd highly recommend that you get a room in the transit hotel. Do make reservations NOW, as those rooms fill up quickly.

The other option is to get a room in town.

(Bob, that's what the transit hotel is.)
