sleeper Trains in China.

Hi everyone,

We are going to China at the begining of July, traveling from Beijing to Guangzhou by Sleeper trains.
Does anyone know whether there is space in the cabin to store a couple of suitcases or is there a special compartmnet on the train for all luggage.

Many thanks,
Zmira.

You can stuff your suitcases under the lowest berth, and on some trains there is additional storage on top of the compartment.

See http://seat61.com/China.htm for lots of info on train travel in China. How big are the suitcases? Aim to travel light.

We had 2 medium sized suitcases and they fitted easily under the bottom bunk.

Thank you all for your replies, it helps a lot since we intended to use a large suitcase but now we will take 2 small ones.
