In order to have the original recipe Singapore Sling (and sit at the famed Long Bar) you will need to go to the Raffles Hotel.

I agree with the above poster. I go to the Long Bar at the Raffles Hotel, too. The Long Bar is separate from the hotel...in other words...NOT inside of the hotel. It's across from the Raffles City shopping mall so get off at City Hall MRT(subway) station. It's upstairs above the bakery at the Raffles...I can't remember the name of the bakery, but you can't miss it. It's right on the corner across from the Chjmes complex which, by the way, has an excellent money changer right at the beginning of the Chjmes complex...in case you need to exchange money. Happy Travels!

guenmai............and........., do you partake of the sling? i usually have mine made with vodka, and i love to eat the peanuts and unabashedly throw the shells on the floor. a weird turn-on.

Yes, that's my one exception. However I don't always have a sling when I go to the Long Bar.There have been many trips in which I've skipped the sling. I won't put one on top of being extremely jetlagged or tired or else I turn into a couch potato. I like to have the fish and fries. They have quite good fries! And they used to have wonderful Ahi tuna burgers. But they've been discontinued. Happy Travels!
