Singapore restaurants

Our 20th anniversary is in Singapore on New Year's Eve (Dec.31)? What are some romantic restaurants? Is the waterfront where we should be to view the fireworks?

At a guess, I would think a place like the Fullerton Hotel's waterfront cafe would be a very nice place. There's also another very nice place across the river, in front of the museum, but I forget it's name at the moment.

The one on the river, in front of the Asian Civilization Museum is Indochine. It's extremely popular, even on an ordinary Sat night, so it may already be booked for NYE. Never hurts to call though.

Not on the waterfront, but very festive is Doc Cheng's in Raffles Hotel. I've spent several Xmas eves at thir special dinner - truly wonderful and festive. Book as soon as you can.

PS I forgot to add, ask for one of the very romantic curtained booths.

Another romantic restaurant is Le Halla inside the Botanical garden. Lovely setting. May not be great to see the fireworks tho.

Actually the restaurant inside the Botanical Garden is called Halia. they have both indoor and outdoor seating and a menu with both local and Western dishes. you definitely won't see any fireworks from there, but it's a pleasant setting.
