Singapore, Bali and were else?
My wife and are considering visiting Singapore, Bali and a third destination during late October, early November. Last year we visited China for 3 1/2 weeks. We are both young at heart 60's. What do you recommend?
Thanks, Jerry

Jerry,
I'd go for Thailand. Beautiful beaches in the south (around Phuket), and Bangkok is definitely worth a few days. Time permitting, you'll also enjoy the north (Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai). We found the people in Thailand (all areas) to be very enjoyable and fun to be with, and the cultural experience is enough different from Singapore and Bali to be unique.
Les

Jerry,

We did a package that took us from Toronto to Bali (7 nights), 5 nights in Singapore and then 3 nights in Bangkok (you definitely need more time to explore Thailand...we could only afford to stay 3 nights then fly back home to go back to WORK...YUK!)

Choose Thailand or Cambodia (go and visit Angkor wat...it will blow your mind!)

these three choices (Bali, Bangkok and singapore) seems to be a wonderful combination....enjoy

How did you book your package out of Toronto. A friend and I are planning a trip that sounds similar to your Bali, Singapore, Bangkok trip and I am wondering how you found the info for that and which company you went through

I was in Asia 2 years ago visiting Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and HK. Cambodia was surprisingly one of our favourite places on that trip. I was worried about safety because of the history of the country, but it was amazingly quiet and peaceful. It's a great time to go now since it's not overly touristy, but they were building a few new hotels when we were there. 2-3 days is probably enough time to visit Angkor, my favourite was Ta Prohm which was virtually left in the condition it was found. Amazing!
