Craig,
I got my visa in USA which saved me an hour waiting in line at SR. The plane feom BKK had only farangs and the line was huge..the luggage comes very quickly, so we were out in 20mins. Kathie--I really enjoyed your trip report |

That sounds like a good tip about the visa. I'm guessing you sent your passport to the Cambodian embassy in DC? |

Crusinred,
yes I mailed the passports to their embassy in DC. I got them back in 10 days.I used the USPS priority mail $ 3.85 flat rate envelopes which you can buy at the post office-its safe and cheaper than fedex |
Just came back from Cambodia where we spent 3 nights in SR. Money goes very fast! Everything is in dollars and you pay most of your expenses in cash. I will plan on a minimum of $200 per person. To give you an idea: visa $20 (make sure to have 1 photo ID) - departure taxes $25 - 3-day Angkor Wat pass $40 (make sure to have 1 photo ID) - departure taxes $25 - guide and driver $40 a day plus tips - tuk tuk $3-$5. And then you add meals, drinks and some shopping...
