Siem Reap-hotel recommendation

Does anyone have any hotel recommendation for Siem Reap? And should I book in advance?
I plan to be there the second week of December. Thanks.

oh sorry. I am going to be by myself and would like a comfortable room of about $30-$50. I would also like to ask about preventive shot or medication I should have before my trip. Thanks.

max, for info on what immunizations are advised, go to www.cdc.gov/travel. Read up on it before you visit your travel medicine doc. In general, you need routine traveler's vaccines which include boosters on diptheria/tetnaus, polio, mumps-measles-rubella, and Hep A and typhoid. You should also inquire about anti-malarials as it is a malaria-endemic area.

max10 - and for travel in December, I would strongly recommend you prebook your hotel reservations.

Max. I am staying in October at the Passagio Boutique Hotel (recommended by people on this site), they have rooms from $39- $59. Or you could get in touch with Ponheary Ly ( recommended guide for Angkor Wat). She has a guest house, which appeared to be pretty good.

I really enjoyed the Auberge Mont Royal hotel; I paid about $40 a night for a huge room. The staff was very nice, and the decor is lovely! It's just a short walk to the center of town.
