Should we pack long sleeved shirts for BKK and Krabi?

We are packing for our trip to BKK and Krabi area(We leave tomorrow-woo hoo!)and we wanted to know if we should pack any long sleeved shirts? I am wearing a hoody sweatshirt for the plane-Do I need to bring another sweater for the trip? Also my husband wants to know if he should bring any long sleeve button down shirts...or will it be hot enough as it is?

Any advice would be appreciated!! Thanks!!

two reasons for packing longsleeved tops for BKK & Krabi:
1. If you intend visiting some of the more sacred temples and want to show thw appropriate respect>
2. If like me, mosquitos like the taste of you, you may wish to cover your arms after sunset as covering up is the only sure way not to get bitten.

Otherwise, Thailand is incredibly hot formost parts of teh country

You can pack just short sleeves shirt or blouses. It's very warm and temples find long sleeved shirts acceptable.

I wouldn't pack any (to travel light) and buy one if necessary there. the shirts there are cheap...

I always pack long sleeves because my fair skin doesn't do well in the intense sun! Light weight cotton in light colors is best for me.
