What are the must see sights in KL? Where is the best shopping for crafts, jewelry, DVDs, american brand knock offs?

the best shopping we did in kl was just outside the city at the factory shop of the large pewter company....we took a cab there, but had trouble getting one back so keep the cab if you go....i'm sorry but i have forgotten the name but it is the major producer and you see their merchandise in all the stores--great tour and lots to choose from

Main sights we saw in KL included:
KL Tower Menara
Merdeka Square
National Mosque
Lake Garden with bird aviary
Masjid Jamek Bandarayan Mosque

For shopping- knockoffs of handbags and dvds, we went to Petaling Street in Chinatown at night. You should bargain with them but be aware that some vendors sell VCDs (which are cheaper) and not real DVDs.

If you have time, go to Kampung Kuantan on the coast to see the fireflies at night. You go out on a small boat and the bushes along the waterway are covered with the world's largest fireflies--spectacular! Take a tour or drive--DON"t let a taxi driver talk you into letting him take you!!

Just to be clear, the fireflies are on the west coast near Klang, not the city of Kuantan on the east coast, which would be quite far indeed!
