shopping in kathmandu
 

I was wondering if there are any american style department stores in Kathmandu. I have family there and was wondering about her purchasing Xmas presents.<BR><BR>thank you

I don't remember any, but that shouldn't prevent shopping. There are lots of small shops that sell great gift stuff, cheap!<BR>Cashmere, wool sweaters, rugs, paintings, are all great things that can be purchased there.

Lots of American-style stores on New Road.

a semi american style clothing shop would be peanuts, they have a good range from infants to adults. the prices arent bad either! this shop is in bhag bazaar
