Shopping In Hanoi
 

where is a good place to buy cheap clothes and silk sleepng liners (I have been suggested to buy these for the Sapa train) in Hanoi.

I want to buy some tops, tshirts and some sandals in Hanoi. I am going with my bf and can not spend the DAY shopping as he will get bored ;-)

In 2003, we bought the silk sleep liners on the silk street (lots of them on display in many colors) for approx. 6 USD.

You can find virtually anything on the streets in Old Town. You'll want to wander around that area anyway, so it shouldn't bore your bf, but you'll feel like you spent the whole day shopping!

It is nice to hear that you like shopping because shopping is my habbit. I often go shopping at least two times a weeks. Sometimes it is for nothing because I didn't buy anything. But I am very experienced in shopping. If you have much money you can shop at Trang Tien Plaza which is near Hoankiem Lake. You can freely choose what kinds of silk and sandals you want. If not, you should spend time traveling around the Old Quarter of Hanoi. There are many stores selling these on the streets.
