Shirakawago bus schedule?
 

We're planning to take the bus from Takayama to Shirakawago on April 2, returning on April 3, and I'm wondering if anyone knows where I can find a current bus schedule for those dates?

Also, is there a better way to go from Shirakawago to Tokyo besides retracing our steps through Takayama and Nagoya?

http://www.doconavi.com/cgi-bin/bus....F2%C0%EE%B6%BF is the current bus schedule, not available in English. The bus departs Takayama dailly at 8:45, 11:05, 14:40 and 15:20. It takes about 2 hours.

Return to Takayama from Shirakawa-go is daily at 10:05, 12:25, 14:40, 16:05, 17:10, 19:15 and takes about 2 hours.

There is a bus from Shirakawa-go to Nagoya leaving S-go at 16:05 and arriving at Nagoya at 19:10. You could then take the Shinkansen to Tokyo. http://www.doconavi.com/cgi-bin/bus....BE%B8%C5%B2%B0 is the S-go to Nagoya page, again only in Japanese.

Thanks KimJapan - I can't manage the Japanese-only site, so I much appreciate your help! I was concerned because I thought the schedule might be changing sometime around the beginning of April for spring/summer.

The schedule changes from winter to summer on March 20.

Is the summer schedule the same, but with a few more departures?

There isn't another schedule for summer. The schedule they put out is year round, with most buses excluded in the winter.
