shenzhen ferry to HKI
 
Hi again...I just wondered how long the whole process is from Shenzhen to HK international on the turbot-jet..when you get to Shenzhen?? And what is there to do at HKI for several hours...thanks

You'll be transported directly to the departure area at HKG. There are restaurants and shops there, and paid lounges with showers, etc.

cool site thanks....I am assuming it takes about an hour but the ferry site does not say...I guess it all depends what time of day

30 minutes from Shekou. 45 minutes from Fuyong (Shenzhen Airport).

Also, since the ferry run fairly frquently, you shouldn't have to spend hours at HKG.

rkkwan..would u recommend to go to Shenzhen for the day when visiting HKG (will be there 3 nights in January)?? Have already been to HKG so wouldn't mind something different...

TracyB - I haven't been to Shenzhen for over 10 years myself. There's no reason to go unless:

- You want to buy fake goods
- You really want to see a lot of new highrise buidlings
- You just want to say you've been to China

But if you already have a visa, then sure. Otherwise, not worth the visa fees, especially the high fees for US citizens.
