Shangri La Hotel Singapore

Hi, has anyone stayed at this hotel recently, and if so, were you happy with the accomodations and location. With thanks for your help.

I've stayed at the Shangri-la in Singapore twice. It is an outstanding facility. The service is first class. Try to get a room in the Valley Wing if you can.The location is very convenient for shopping. Public transportation is nearby.I recommend it highly.

Thank you both for your replies to my post - it is so good to have such good recommendations from people who have actually stayed there recently.

Shangri-la is absolutely beautiful but still a little bit far away from the sightseeing places. If you want to stay in the currently most spectacular place in town you should try the Ritz-Carlton Millenia. Consider, even your large marble bathroom (including tub and separate shower) has a huge window with georgeous views to the skyline. And it is cheaper than the Shangri-la

The Shangri-La is conveniently located for both using the new Skytrain (station next door) to get to central BKK and the river taxis to get to Grand Palace and other places along the river.
