Shangri La Bangkok - Renovations finished?
We're planning on staying at the Shangri La in Bangkok in November. Thinking of booking a room in the Shangri La wing. Has anyone stayed there recently? Just want to be sure the construction is over and the room we get is newly renovated.

I just stayed at Centre Point Silom right behind ShangriLa and passed through SL many times. I was totally unaware of any construction or renovations, so I can't imagine anything major is going on. But yes, check with them.

erica... you can click at the very bottom of their site main page for "golden circle guest recognition program" and that takes you to the area, but i do not see a sign up there....elsewhere i read that you sign up at registration at the hotel...

That is my point--there does not seem to be a way to sign up for the program in advance.
Since in your post above, you advised people to do so, I thought you would know how to go about the process...or if it is even possible...

Golden Circle is by invitation only.
You cannot apply for membership of this club.
You certainly cannot sign up for it on line.
I think Bob.....you are mistaken. Unless of course.....you did it many, many years ago.

With regard to renovations......we stayed in the Krungthep wing in Feb this year.....everything fine....but there were major renovations going on at the Sha La wing....I would think it's all done by now.
